Amanda Ray

Contemporary jewellery inspired by the designs of sixties and the Art Deco period, combining silver and ceramic.

Using the Japanese firing technique, raku, the glazed pieces are fired, quickly taken from the kiln and put into wood chippings and paper. Immediately, they self ignite create lustrous surfaces and leaving unglazed areas carbonised by the smoke.

Established in 1992 and a member of Cornwall Crafts Association, Amanda has exhibited her work in Australia, France and Italy.
